Thinking Magically™ | Most People Roll Their Eyes at Abundance (Part 1)

Your most precious, valued possessions and your greatest powers are invisible and intangible.
No one can take them. You, and you alone, can give them.
You will receive abundance for your giving.
– W. Clement Stone

=========================
Most of us go through life afraid
=========================

We are concerned that we don’t have enough money. Terrified that we won’t be able to provide for our family. Unnerved when we’re questioned at or about work. Appalled that we remain the best kept secret in the Universe.

Shaken up.

Dismayed.

Restrained.

Aren’t you tired of feeling like that?

Apparently a lot of you aren’t. Because most people just roll their eyes when they hear the word “Abundance.”

But there’s a secret to putting an end to a mindset centered on scarcity and lack. And you’re going to learn it right here — right now.

========================
Abundance is an acquired taste
========================

Imagine a life filled with a bounty — an abundance of the things, people, results, and events that you want.

That’s right. Set aside your self-critical analysis for a moment. Ignore that niggling, whispering, disparaging voice that says “But this isn’t real” or “But you’re never going to have a life like that” or even “But this is all bullshit.”

Imagine in the smallest detail a life filled with luxury, plenty, and wealth.

What does that type of life look and feel like to you?

Take all the time you need to envision precisely what an abounding life for you is like. And make sure to notice how this bountiful life feels compared to the feelings of fear you used to have?

Feels pretty damn good, right?

Now let me let you in on a very big secret:

Abundance is an acquired taste!

And an appreciation and knowing in the REALITY OF ABUNDANCE comes with continued and considerable and meaningful exposure to prosperity and health and love. Most of us, however, have never tasted anything nearing abundance. And thus there is little understanding of what abundance really is. We give lip service to the gratitude we would feel if only abundance really did come our way. Still, it is an admiration from a distance.

It is time to fill the gap between where you are and where you are meant to be.

====================================
You can’t enjoy something you don’t appreciate
====================================

From this point forward, you must realize and grasp and come to terms with the the fact that you have a personal obligation to live a life of abundance. That is the fastest way you will make the dent in the world you’re gut has been telling you you need to make for a long time.

Does that make you uncomfortable?

Good.

Because coming into your own and having real success need not be comfortable. It does require that you get over your fear of “new stuff,” however. If you don’t start thinking outside the box — if you don’t start living outside the box — all you’re going to manifest are the same old things.

Give your old life a break already!

It’s time for you to have a life that is full and overflowing with fun, passion, love, wealth, and health.

And . . .

It’s going to take work. A lot of work. It was Neil Gaiman, in The Sandman, who wrote: “I’ve been making a list of the things they don’t teach you at school. They don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be famous. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you how to walk away from someone you don’t love any longer. They don’t teach you how to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing.”

And they don’t teach you how to have abundance! In fact, in some instances, you’ve actually been taught that abundance is a bad, bad thing. Something to be disliked and scorned and avoided at all costs.

Well, it’s time to grow up and mature into an abundant lifestyle and mindset. It’s time for you to prefer abundance — not in a theoretical or philosophical way — in a bewitching, charmed, and very palpable way.

It’s time for you to enjoy the intensity of life and seek out all that it is waiting to gift to you.

Now . . . I understand and appreciate that intentionally changing the reality that you think is right before your eyes and altering your belief system can be hard to fulfill. It’s always easier to just leave things the way they are and make concessions and excuses, isn’t it?

I know you’re up for the challenge, though. Because you want more.

================================
The first step in having a life of abundance
================================

So, the first step in having a life of abundance is to make a calculated and intended effort to have such a life. You must (that’s right — “must”) start acting as if you like prosperity in order to develop a taste for it. Only when you develop a penchant for abundancy will you then begin to do it and you justice.

Once you appreciate what a life of abundance really means for you and your family, you then create deeply held knowing and understanding about prosperity (distinguished, by the way, from spurious beliefs in wealth motivated by your ego and instant gratification). That is when your charmed life takes on a whole new dimension.

And you and others will stop rolling your eyes at the thought of abundance . . .

Because it starts being a reality . . .

Next week, we will explore the steps to take to acquire a taste for abundance.
